About Funmi Ge

Born in Nigeria to a dancer and singer, Funmi Ge began singing and dancing at the age of six. She moved to England at the age of eight, where she developed her talents through school competitions. She drew inspiration from her life experiences and studied a Music Business, Art, and Law program, which gave her a significant boost in her career.

Singer and songwriter Funmi Ge has performed with many bands over the past few years, touring with Tony Allen in the world of Afrobeat music, as well as with the Dele Sosimi Orchestra.

Funmi Ge has been working on her debut album, which is filled with inspiration about what unites us. The album is titled "The Way of Life." Her inspiration comes from the lifestyle she has experienced and the influence of the Holy Spirit, driving her to write and reach out to the world. "The Way of Life" signifies a "better lifestyle." Her music is influenced by the sound of the 80s.

In the Afrobeat music scene, Funmi Ge has performed at Glastonbury Festival with Tony Allen, as well as at the Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Astoria, Barbican Hall, Stratford Circus, and Jazz Café, among others. She has also performed in Berlin and Yugoslavia. Her journey in the world of Afrobeat has inspired her to further develop her songwriting abilities.

Through technology and social media, Funmi Ge continues to spread the good news about real life and reaching out to young singers and music lovers all around the world.
